You are entering the Park through our environmental education centre, where we have a shop, a restaurant, rooms for workshops, the big exhibition about water, the AQUATUNNEL and also a library for children. Upstairs we have a creative-zone, where you can draw, or build a landscape, or just have a look at some of the books from our library. In this exhibition you can get to know all about water by using our senses. You can smell, how flowers smell, you can hear, how the birds in the reed sing and you see, how the fishes live in the river.
NUP-WORLD:
The Park has lots of ground – about 200 ha allow the animals to live in big natural fences. Apart form the fishes we show 430 animals of 59 different species.
So you can also take a walk trough the big natural fence, where our Fallow Deers live. And would you like to have a look at our Owls or Sea Eagles – eye to eye, without any fence between?
High point of the park is the largest and most beautiful BROWN BEAR PLANT of Germany with the bears “Fred” and “Frode”. They are brothers. Sometimes you can see Fred and Frode on the WEBCAM.
Most Visitors come here to see our wolf pack, which lives an a big natural fence in the forests of the park. When its full moon, we invite our visitors to come to one of our night-tours, where you can hear the wolves yawning and see the owls flying around…
NUP FOR CHILDREN:
Children can have a nice time with our pets or in the adventure-playground. And we have also donkeys and ponies, children can ride.
Have a nice day with your Family, visiting the park, you can also have a birthday party and we will present lots of fun and action for the children. And would you like to have a party we arrange the meal or we offer coffee and cake.
